Their wine shop and tasting room in Warsaw gives a flair of Copenhague and Paris and makes you wanna stay all day long, drink best wine, enjoy the brief encounters and dream about your future voyages.
Place where kids and dogs run around , and you won’t even notice because it’s all authentic. It’s like home

We’ve created Lalou together, with wine as its essence. The final shape results from our professional experience, lifestyle, and values. Both in form and function.

Why Lalou?

Lalou Bize-Leroy is one of the most influential figures in the wine world. Winemaker, manager, owner of three vineyards in Burgundy. One of the first biodynamic women, sensitive to the energy of the place. For us, Lalou means quality, authenticity, and a balance between form and content.

 

 

Magda Butkiewicz-Dudzińska

For me, Lalou is a dream come true – the dream of a shared space where, together with Norbert, we could use our best skills and competencies. Wine understood as a cultural space – breakthroughs, trends, and schools – is for me one of the most exciting forms of experience. As a theater expert, I have been describing phenomena at the intersection of visual and performing arts for many years. I started to use this perspective as a creative director in my agency, Grupa Wzgórze. I have implemented major brands and corporations projects, primarily in visual identification and design, web projects, and communication strategies. I graduated from the Theater Academy in Warsaw and doctoral studies at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences. As a winner of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage scholarship, I worked on the perspective of post-modern theater in Poland. Now, I can fully use my knowledge – extended by postgraduate studies in management and trend watching & future studies – in my work at Lalou.

Norbert Dudziński

I have been thinking about Lalou for many years – about a space focused only on wine: without rush and compromise. With area for tasting, the attention that wine requires, with diversity within the categories I deal with, and finally – with a place to age the wine under optimal conditions. I am a sommelier specializing in several French regions: Burgundy, Champagne, Jura, and Loire Valley, as well as natural, biodynamic, and orange wines. I have international certificates: A.S.I. Diploma, Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET. I worked as a Head Sommelier in 3 Michelin stars and ranked 5th in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants – including Geranium restaurant in Copenhagen. It was an essential and inspiring experience as I managed one of the world’s largest and best wine collections. After returning to Warsaw, I worked in the Dyletanci restaurant, expanding the wine list to 1,400 items, thus creating the most extensive selection in Poland. In 2020, I was awarded the prestigious title of Prix au Sommelier by the International Academy of Gastronomy. I am a regular collaborator of Magazyn o Winie Ferment and the ambassador of Star Wine List in Poland – an international guide to the most exciting places for wine.

 

 

At Lalou, Champagne, Jura, Loire Valley, Burgundy, Etna, Tenerife, Moselle have a special place.
and widely understood natural wines, including the increasingly popular category of orange wines. –
organic, biodynamic, low-intervention wines, modernists, terrorists, authenticists, naturalists –
they are the essence of wine for us. – adds Norbert. – The dynamics of the wine world is huge, so to read
current trends, you need to know what has already happened, what „yesterday” looked like.”

Magda is the owner and creative director of the Grupa Wzór agency. She implemented projects for
major brands and corporations, primarily in the areas of visual identification and design.
She used her experience in a new concept by creating the Lalou brand that reflects her and Norbert’s values.
On this basis, a minimalist graphic design and the interior of theshop were created, thought out to the smallest detail.

Norbert worked for many years as head sommelier in the three-Michelin-starred Geranium restaurant in Copenhagen, which was classified as 5th place in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants ranking.

In 2020, he was awarded by the International Academy
The gastronomic prestigious title of Prix au Sommelier. For the last 3 years as the head sommelier of the restaurant
Dyletanci, he developed and managed the largest wine card in Poland.
Lalou Wine Concept is located at 56 Krochmalna Street, on the premises of Browary Warszawskie.

While visiting @lalou_wine_concept , we were affectionate with the fact that having a wine shop doesn’t mean you can’t work with your kids (and dogs) around.
Norbert @norbert_somm and Magda  @titabede do it in the most charming way and even if you’re not a big fan of children, in this place you will see that having a business and a happy family actually is possible.
